- Description
A highly successful SME business with a turnover of over £25m and offices in Hampshire is looking to hire an ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Group Financial Controller to join them on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers hybrid working 3 days per week in the office. Reporting to the Managing Director the Group Financial Controller will:
Duties of the Group Financial Controller Role:
- Oversee the full management of the finance team but in particular mentor and develop x2 Finance Managers
- Lead of a Financial systems upgrade project
- Streamlining systems and procedures
- Financial reporting and drilling down into profitability, budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare and review detailed management accounts and reporting to the Directors
- Monthly review and reconciliation of the balance sheet
- Detailed debtor reporting and cashflow analysis
Requirements of the Group Financial Controller Role:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified Accountant
- Experience working with an SME with turnover in excess of £30m
- Prior experience in systems upgrades/implementations
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to mentor staff and develop staff
- Strong commercial acumen
