Financial Accountant

A not-for-profit organization is seeking a Permanent Financial Accountant to work closely as a right-hand person to the Financial Controller. The role is based in North Kent; due to the company's location, a vehicle is required to attend the office. The charity has a hybrid working pattern of 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home.

Duties 

• Assisting in producing management accounts and understanding budgets/forecasts -
• Working between the Finance Team and the Operations teams to ensure proper record keeping is done in Business Central to allow for automated calculation of various journals
• Assume financial management responsibility for various journals
• Participate in designing a system that automates those postings

The Candidate

• Excellent communication skills to establish strong relationships with colleagues
• Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills and ability to extract and analyze management information 
• The ideal candidate should possess experience in Financial and Management Accounting
• Be keen to participate in ongoing study for an accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) - Knowledge of Charity accounting and Charity SORP  is useful but not essential

This role offers a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 and includes a 37-hour working week, flexible working, 28 days holiday entitlement, Company Pension Scheme, Study Support, and free parking.
