Director of Client Finance Responsibilities

Exact duties will vary from company to company but as a general rule the Director of Client Finance will be expected to perform some or all of the following:

• Be the client-facing lead when it comes to financial management issues.
• Review billing terms in client contracts and update when necessary.
• Maintain project billing data.
• Manage forecasts to ensure client finance targets are met.
• Oversee financial management of client accounts to maximise revenue.
• Prepare budget status reports for both client and internal consumption.
• Ensure the financial integrity of client work including estimates, fees, expenses and more.
• Perform final reconciliation of projects and complete job closure forms.
• Identify and resolve client account conflicts and issues.

Director of Client Finance Skills

The Director of Client Finance candidate will be expected to possess most or all of the following Skills:

• At least 7 years’ work experience in accounting or finance.
• Outstanding analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of all applicable software programmes.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead and to work as part of a team.
• Ability to produce accurate and timely budgets for various departments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience working in client-facing positions a plus.
