Bookkeeper or Accountant?

People sometimes confuse the roles of the Bookkeeper and Accountant. But while they are similar there is an important difference. The Bookkeeper is responsible for processing all the steps in the accounting cycle except that last two: issuing financial statements and closing the books. Those are the responsibility of the Accountant.

In general, the bookkeeper is expected to:
