The Job of a Billings Manager

Billings Manager Responsibilities
The responsibilities and duties of a Billings Manager include, but are not limited, to:
• Manage and maintain lists and documentation about accounts receivables. They may also be required to audit these lists and the code.
• Perform a qualitative analysis of the lists, collections, and data
• Manage payroll, contracting, credentials, and authorisations for employees
• Oversee preparation of statements and bills
• Responsible for collections, investigations, and resolutions of errors
• Implementation of billing policies and procedures on clients and customers
• Reporting collection information to business managers and supervisors weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Ensures that goals and metrics on bill collections and accounts receivable are met. This Includes reviewing the work of Billings department staff and advising them on the correct legal parameters and practices in billing and collection.
Billings Manager Eligibility
• Minimum educational qualification: A degree, preferably in Accountancy or other related fields
• Minimum three to five years of bookkeeping experience. Candidates with staff management and supervisory experience will be prioritised
• Must be able to use platforms for accounting, such as QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, etc.
• Proficiency in basic office applications, particularly Microsoft Office
• Experience in handling complex billings or advanced numeracy skills is a bonus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent time management skills
